What's Going On? New BooksThanks to an amazing turnout of Bradley parents and supporters, our fall Book Fair was a great success. We are in the process of adding new books to our library collection - always with the goal of encouraging young readers. Books selected from the fair are already in the hands of students and more are on the way. Your support and effort help us keep Bradley's library a busy space that invites curiousity.
A special thank-you goes to the volunteers who helped staff the fair, and to Jeni Ranieri for serving as fair chairman. Keep on reading! NewslettersTake a look at the latest Bradley Library Newsletter in pdf format. This year's issues are under Department Files below.
KU Reading AwardsRead, Read, Read.
The Bradley Library sponsors the KU Reading Awards, which recognizes student efforts. In April we hold an assembly to present awards to students who have read and logged at least 12 books from a diversity of genres. Students receive certificates from the University of Kansas, with silver seals for those reading at least 12 books, or gold seals indicating a student has read at least 24 books. Students who read books about Kansas also receive a Jayhawk bookmark. A special Life Sciences award recognizes those students who read at least six books in the life sciences area. . . . and Gotta Keep Reading! We urge students to explore other great reading sources such as public libraries - and keep on reading! Here is what a Florida school has to say about it - Gotta Keep Reading! Department Files
